Radke’s father is of Irish descent and his mother is of German ancestry. He attended school in Lancaster before moving to California to attend college at the University of Southern California. While at USC, he formed the metalcore band Whitechapel with friends Stephen Carpenter and Travis Barker. The group released their first album, Whorehouse Blues, in 2007. Whitechapel disbanded a year later after touring in support of the album. In 2009, Radke formed the hardcore punk band All That Remains with bassist Phil Manansala and drummer Brian Flynn.
