Slumlove Sweater Company: Everything is made from love in Kenya, eco-friendly, and provides back. Great ethical sustainable basics and knitwear. My own brand 🙂

Everlane: Another place I frequent in my wardrobe staples and everyday pieces.

Emerson Fry: Small batch, produced in New york city. Beautiful and different clothing released gradually slowly for any short time.

The RealReal: I’ve really been into shopping consignment designer pieces recently. There exists a handful of great high-finish consignment stores in Austin, however the RealReal is a go-to for me personally. They’re big advocates of the “circular fashion” movement, meaning clothes ought to be made well, attentively purchased, after which sold again for another person to savor. They create buying and consigning quite simple.

Moss Designer Consignment Outfit Vintage: Sister consignment stores I frequent frequently in Austin.

Ozma of California: I really discovered this brand through the Good Trade and fell for each other initially when i first visited their website! Comfortable, superbly-made pieces that you’ll cherish.

“I discovered that altering my shopping habits where I purchased my clothes result in me better finding my very own style and getting a more happy, more content (and guilt free) closet.”

I did not really get into ethical fashion until once i began Slumlove Sweater Company. Slumlove was a method to help provide employment and possibilities to my buddies in Kenya, and thru beginning my very own ethical fashion brand I started being familiar with the troubling affects from the fashion industry. I grew to become deeply charged about my very own shopping habits, as well as in August of 2015 I designed a personal decision to simply buy clothing from ethical companies for 12 months. It’s now been almost three years since that call and that i haven’t looked back! I discovered that altering my shopping habits where I purchased my clothes result in me better finding my very own style and getting a more happy, more content (and guilt free) closet.

If I needed to define my style in 3 words I’d express it is minimal, comfortable, and splendid. I really like great fabrics and style, and appreciate products which have been meticulously and superbly built. I am inclined to “over dress” of all occasions, although I believe that the lengthy dress yourself in a gentle, material that breathes is much more comfortable than sweat pants! Easy, loose-fitting dresses, pants, and jumpsuits will always be my go-to for casual and fancy occasions and therefore are the pieces I am inclined to buy most frequently.

My own, ethical style is a mixture of lifestyle basics from sustainable brands, more unique products from curated, small-batch collections, and designer pieces I purchase secondhand. I actually do the majority of my shopping on the web, which I’ve really arrived at love. It provides me the space and time to check out the pieces I’ve my attention on and consider how they’ll squeeze into my very own wardrobe, that has permitted me to cherish and cost the pieces I purchase a lot more. I’m now positive about my own style rather than enter my closet feeling like I’ve “nothing to put on,” and that i love that my clothes reflect things i value in existence.

// Things I Used To Some MEETING //

This whole outfit (minus my bag) is secondhand and bought at a nearby designer consignment store. I’ll admit, I’ve got a weakness for top-finish designer clothing. I really like the facts, construction, and fabrics of designer pieces. However I don’t love the cost! Buying these products secondhand is really a win-win situation. It’s great for the atmosphere and simple around the wallet.

Although my footwear were bought on consignment, these were designed and created by an excellent brand known as Pedro Garcia. They’re a household operated shoe manufacturer, making responsible (and delightful) footwear in a tiny town in The country. Read about Pedro Garcia here.

My bag comes from a brandname dear to me known as Rift Valley Leather. My very own brand, Slumlove, is created solely in Kenya, and that i love promoting other Made-in-Africa brands. Rift Valley Leather is really a leather goods company resides in Kenya, producing lovely and well-made products for women and men.

There’s nothing I really like greater than a great jumpsuit. Bonuses if it is as insanely comfortable because this one from Ozma California is. When i first discovered this brand around the Good Trade, and immediately fell deeply in love with their beautiful designs and beachy-chic aesthetic. This jumpsuit was perfect sitting outdoors on the dreamy patio grabbing a glass or two with my buddies.

White-colored tee and jeans minimalist casual outfit // Per Week Of Summertime Minimalist Outfits With Ava Darnell, Founding Father Of Slumlove Sweater Company around the Good Trade

// MY EVERYDAY, GO-TO OUTFIT //

I do not think there’s anything chicer than the usual great-fitting tee combined with jeans and heels (should you not trust me, just google pics of Victoria Beckham-it’s her everyday uniform). It’s simple, flattering, and appears come up with, yet awesome and laid-back all simultaneously. Put on a blazer to include an expert touch for work or trade the tapered jeans for flared jeans for any retro feel.

The tee comes from my very own line, Slumlove Sweater Company. Our tee collections come in Kenya, supplying jobs to some rural community, fighting deforestation, helping maintain your local elephant population, and funding senior high school scholarships for kids from Kenya’s largest slum. I really like that certain tee could be doing this much good and am very happy with this collection. I own this tee in white-colored, black, and gray, and trade out my jeans for black jeans when I wish to switch some misconception. Catch me on a day in Austin and i’ll probably be putting on one of these simple tees.

Summer time night out outfit – polka us dot dress // Per Week Of Summertime Minimalist Outfits With Ava Darnell, Founding Father Of Slumlove Sweater Company around the Good Trade

// Things I Used On The DATE //

I really like putting on dresses and can throw one on any chance I recieve. I purchased this straightforward, breezy dress from Emerson Fry particularly to put on throughout the summertime in Austin. Should you didn’t know, Austin will get hot. Like hot, hot. The elements plays a large element in the products I select to increase my wardrobe. I decided this dress since the fabric is super breathable, the dark color will hide sweat, however the cut from the dress and polka-us dot pattern still provide an enjoyable and different twist.

Emerson Fry is a superb brand producing small-batch collections produced in New You are able to. The discharge products gradually, individually via email updates and limit the amount of products made. I usually get excited after i see an e-mail from their store announcing a brand new item and love the intentionality installed behind their brand.
